Surgical Errors

A surgical error is a mistake made by a medical professional during a surgery or procedure that causes further harm to the patient.

Failure to Diagnose

Any instance where a medical professional has diagnosed a medical condition incorrectly, missed a diagnosis entirely or the correct diagnosis was unreasonably delayed, can all be considered failure to diagnose.

Nursing Home Neglect and Abuse

Nursing home neglect and abuse are defined as any instance where a vulnerable, elderly patient is denied basic human needs while in the care of a nursing home/long-term care facility, such as medical care, nutrition, hygiene and/or shelter, or where a caregiver commits an act that causes harm, or the risk of harm, to a patient. Acts of abuse can be physical, sexual, emotional or financial.

Personal

Injury

Personal injury occurs when a person’s body and/or emotional well-being are damaged. In many cases, personal injury is the result of another person’s negligence. More specific areas of personal injury are listed, but not limited to, the areas outlined below.

Motor Vehicle Crashes

Each year in the United States, over 32,000 people are killed and more than 2 million others are injured in motor vehicle crashes. Often times, those crashes could have been avoided but one of the drivers involved in the crash was negligent and as a result, hurt an innocent, law abiding citizen.

Trucking Crashes

A recent study by the Insurance Institute of Highway Safety shows that 69% of victims from large-truck accidents are the occupants in passenger vehicles and only 16% are truck occupants. Due to the size and weight of many trucks, collisions can result in death or severe personal injuries. We will hold the trucking companies responsible when you are injured as a result of their negligence.

Motorcycle Crashes

Every year more than 4,000 motorcyclists are killed and more than 80,000 motorcyclists are badly injured in the United States. We have handled numerous lawsuits for injured motorcyclists and we understand the unique issues involved in these claims.

Wrongful Death

Pedestrian Injuries

Injuries to pedestrians injuries can occur in a variety of ways: whether by being struck by a motor vehicle, or encountering a property defect, such as a poorly maintained sidewalk or parking lot.

Construction Site Injuries

A construction site injury can occur in a variety of ways. Falls from scaffolding, roofs, ladders or other elevated work sites are the most common injuries. Other injuries include objects falling on a worker, tripping hazards, electrocutions and exposure to toxins.

Dog Bite Injuries

When you are bit by another person’s dog, and the dog owner knew, or should have known, that the dog had vicious propensities because of its general character or recent events, the owner can be liable for your injuries.
  • “Timothy DeMore handled my difficult case with a “we have got this” attitude right from the beginning. That put my mind at ease throughout the entire process. He was extremely compassionate and treated me and my family with the utmost respect. He was tough with the other “side” and he proved to me that justice can still prevail. I highly recommend Attorney DeMore.”
